Filtre & Go is the first generic EIMS filter.
It provides headers, server ID, return path and body filtering with case sensitive and insensitive regular expression and literal strings.
It honors DNS exclusions, provides test modes and updates filters on the fly.
Filtre & Go is a free and an open source (BSD-Lite license) project.
Binaries are provided for PowerPC and 68K and for MacOS X
The documentation is now available in PDF format in the archive.
What's new since version 0.5?
- F&G now considers messages sent with SMTP authentication like messages from a server in the DNS Exclusions list, i.e. only filters with the virus flag affect them.
- A bug related to writing several identical lines to the log was fixed.
- (related) F&G now spends less time filtering messages for which a decision already has been taken.
- F&G warns when a message is too long when parsing the preferences file.
- A problem due to a bug in Metrowerks' 68K compiler causing EIMS to stop accepting any connection was fixed with a workaround.
- Error messages on regular expressions are now more detailed.
- A bug that could generate a crash randomly was fixed.
- If the c flag (case sensitive) is present, then the header is tested with case sensitive. This lets one filter Swen by testing if the header is SUBJECT:.
- New documentation, available in English.
